Governor Abbott Appoints Hayes, Yelovich To Texas State Board Of Plumbing Examiners

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Julia Hayes and reappointed Dave Yelovich to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners for terms set to expire on September 5, 2031. The Board licenses master plumbers, journeymen, plumbers, and plumbing inspectors.

Julia Hayes of Beaumont is a certified public accountant and a shareholder at Lawrence, Blackburn, Meek, Maxey & Co., P.C. She is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Additionally, she is a member of the TXCPA Peer Review Committee, a director of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Beaumont, Inc and a former director of the AICPA Peer Review Board. Hayes received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Lamar University.

Dave Yelovich of Friendswood is the code and compliance advisor for Tilson Custom Home Builders. He has been in the home building industry for over 40 years. He is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, Texas Association of Builders, Greater Houston Builders Association, and numerous state and national building code committees. Additionally, he shares his knowledge with industry professionals through technical training classes at local home building associations in Texas. Yelovich received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Sciences from Texas A&M University.
